After breakfast depart to Cienfuegos. Visit the Fiesta Campesina farm to learn about the endemic flora and fauna of Peninsula de Zapata, the largest wetland Biosphere Reserve of the Americas. Sample a typical cocktail before continuing on to Cienfuegos, known as the “Pearl of the South”, where Latin America’s largest coral site, Notre Dame was discovered. Lunch is included at Club Nautico Restaurant. Take a city tour along Cienfuegos’ main streets and avenues, the only city in America founded by French settlers under the Spanish crown, situated on the marvellous natural bay coasts and protected by Jagua fortress. The perfect symmetry of its streets, the neo-classical and eclectic architecture and the Historic Centre, declared a World Heritage Site, make this city so attractive. Visit Tomas Terry Theatre, with a walking tour around the city’s centre, Jose Marti’s Square, where you can see the Cultural Background House and Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Visit the local monument Palacio del Valle for panoramic views. The tour continues to Trinidad and on arrival you check in to your hotel. Dinner is taken in the hotel, with the remainder of the evening at leisure.
