Experience Carnival, an event that is an intrinsic part of the identity of Rio. Watch as it comes alive like no other time of the year as the sounds of Samba and vibrant colours begin to overwhelm the streets.
Rio Carnival has become world-famous through the Samba Parade, a show, a competition, and an incredible display put on by the Brazilian samba dance schools. Carnival, the famous Brazilian festival, will take place between the 28th February 2025 and the 08th of March 2024 (approximately). During the festival, there is a huge contest among the samba schools. These samba communities all have their own distinguishing, colourful, costumes and will parade at the "Sambodromo" where people can either watch from the grandstands or, if planned well enough ahead, even dress up and participate in the parade themselves. This festival has become known as one of the greatest parties in the world. Each samba school's parade takes around 90 minutes and there is only one winner. Each night the parade starts around 8:00 PM and continues until 6:00 AM the next morning.
On this all-encompassing personalised itinerary, Chimu will provide travel logistics for your travel party for the duration of your journey, plus expert guides for all the major sightseeing as per the itinerary. Each night you will stay in your selected standard of accommodation (standard, superior or deluxe), handpicked by our experienced team for their creature comforts, convenient locations, and impeccable service.
