Upon your arrival at San Cristobal airport, your Galapagos adventure begins. In the afternoon, delve into the wonders of the David Rodriguez Breeding Center. Here, you'll unravel the fascinating history and evolution of the giant tortoise. Gain a profound understanding of the center's pivotal role in safeguarding the future of these special creatures.
As you meander through the trails of the reserve, you'll encounter baby tortoises thriving in semi-natural conditions. This firsthand experience is a testament to the local community's deep commitment to preserving the unique wildlife that makes the Galapagos Islands truly exceptional. It's a captivating introduction to the remarkable biodiversity that awaits you on this extraordinary journey.
Today, venture to Española's Suarez Point in the morning. The circular trail reveals nesting sites of nazca and blue-footed boobies, along with waved albatross and unique marine iguanas. Geological marvels, including impressive blow holes, add to the island's charm.
In the afternoon, visit Gardner Bay for a pristine sandy beach and sea lion encounters. Consider kayaking or paddleboarding to observe waved albatross. A short panga ride to Gardner and Osborn Islets offers fantastic snorkeling with sea lions and vibrant marine life. It's a day of exploration and marine encounters in the Galapagos.
Embark on the third day of your Galapagos journey at Floreana's Cormorant Point in the morning. Explore two contrasting beaches—one with olive-green sand and the other with pure white sand (‘Flour Beach’). The saltwater pond is a haven for Galapagos flamingos and other shorebirds. Later, enjoy a zodiac ride to Devil's Crown, an underwater volcanic crater teeming with coral reefs and marine life.
In the afternoon, visit Post Office Bay, a man-made site with a unique 18th-century mailing tradition. Engage in this historical practice, and take advantage of good snorkeling and kayaking opportunities. Descend into a lava tube for a unique experience. Then, a panga ride takes you to the Baroness' Lookout, a volcanic rock formation with panoramic views of mangroves and the coastline. This day promises a blend of history, nature, and scenic beauty in the Galapagos.
Conclude your Galapagos adventure on the last day with a visit to Mosquera Islet in the morning. This small, sandy islet, situated between Baltra and North Seymour islands, offers a flat terrain with no fixed trail. Explore on foot, encountering a thriving community of sea lions, shorebirds, and vibrant Sally Lightfoot crabs against the dark rocks. The islet's numerous coral reefs provide an excellent opportunity for snorkeling, allowing you to spot various marine life, including sharks, turtles, and rays.
In the afternoon, wrap up your journey with a transfer from the yacht to Baltra Airport. Reflect on the remarkable experiences and encounters with the unique wildlife and landscapes of the Galapagos Islands as you bid farewell to this extraordinary archipelago.
With 16 passengers on board, the massive catamaran Galapagos Elite first sailed the azure waters of the Galapagos Islands in June 2019. The Elite redefines luxury, comfort, and style! Stylish and twin-hulled, it offers guests a stable and secure trip without the heaving and swaying typical of the older, single-hulled boats that ruled the island cruise market for many years. Better stability is accompanied with increased space for all amenities on board, including panoramic social areas both indoors and outside and panoramic suites, thanks to the Elite's design. The large, partially covered sky deck, the al fresco dining space, and the quaint bar-salon are enjoyed by visitors of all ages. After a day of island exploration, the Galapagos Elite's suites are the ideal spot to unwind and rejuvenate. Each suite is roomy, cosy, and well-appointed. Every suite features a private outside patio, a bathroom, and an ocean view. There are two twin beds or one king-sized bed available in every suite. The Elite yachts boast big windows with panoramic vistas, a feature that sets them apart from the heavy, circular porthole windows of the preceding models. More accurately, consider them a wall of tempered glass with a door leading to your balcony. Amazing views of the Galapagos seascapes are available every morning and afternoon! Meals on board the Elite are very popular with guests. Three delectable and healthy meals are prepared by our skilled culinary specialists each day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which is served sit-down in an elegant setting in the partially covered al fresco dining area of the sky deck. Every meal is prepared with fresh ingredients that, if possible, are sourced locally from island farms. Kids' lunches are available, and special dietary needs are never an issue.
