You will set off to explore the last frontier on this expedition, the Antarctic continent.
Spend a night pre-cruise in Buenos Aires, the Paris of the South before taking a plane to Ushuaia, which is situated on the banks of the Beagle Channel and affectionately known as the 'End of the World',
Here you will embark on your expedition vessel, Seabourn Pursuit. Savour all that this opulent, 264-passenger ship has to offer. The vessel is equipped with all the necessities for a premium sailing experience, with a PC6 Polar Ice Class that permits you to venture into areas inaccessible to larger vessels. There are 136 suites on the ship, each having a large sitting room and a separate balcony. There are five Michelin-starred restaurants, a spa, sauna, fitness facility, pool, and bars on board and in-room dining and minibar are included in your cruising fare.
You will spend several days exploring the Antarctic peninsula during this cruise, where you will witness icebergs, tabular glaciers, and a variety of species including seals, whales, dolphins, and penguins. From here, you'll set sail for South Georgia, one of the world's most famous wildlife hotspots, which is home to colonies of tens of thousands of King penguins. This area boasts a diverse scenery that is a photographer's and animal enthusiast's paradise. Sail on to the Falkland Islands, a place rich in history and legend surrounding the great explorers who initially found this area. You will witness Ernest Shackleton's last resting place and learn more about him by visiting the Stanley settlement. See numerous sizable colonies of different species and observe a plethora of birdlife.
You will enjoy lectures onboard, regular landings (subject to weather/conditions), and zodiac cruising with the knowledgeable expedition crew. Two cutting-edge, specially constructed submarines are also installed on the ship to facilitate underwater exploration. Kayaking and submarine expeditions are available as optional adventure activities on selected voyages; a surcharge will apply.
