We're thrilled to announce that we won Most Outstanding Tour Operator at the AFTA National Travel Industry Awards!
The NTIA are part of the Australian Federation of Travel Agents to recognise and reward excellence in the Australian travel industry. Nominees were subject to a rigorous application process requiring them to demonstrate excellence in customer service and trade support.
The travel industry has suffered immense hardship over the last few years, so to be recognised as a finalist is a huge testament to the resilience of Chimu as a company.
We'd like to publicly acknowledge and thank the caring, hardworking, and forward-thinking travel agents who not only helped Chimu passengers return safely, but also stranded Aussie travellers around the globe.

The pandemic meant that our South American travel partners were left with no source of income. Chimu's James McAlloon decided to start Footsteps for Food - a fundraiser to walk across Australia and raise enough money to provide food and hygiene packages for more than 900 families in Latin America.
