Enter the Bay of Singuanea and moor in front of the Colony Hotel. After breakfast, disembark on the beach and board the bus for an optional tour, enjoying panoramic sightseeing until you reach the Presidio Modelo, an abandoned panopticon prison where both Fidel and Raul Castro were imprisoned from 1953–1955. Enjoy lunch in an authentic local restaurant before visiting an art school and the maternity ward of a local hospital. There is some free time for independent exploration around capital Nueva Gerona’s Grand Boulevard before returning to embark the ship.

Isla de la Juventud

We disembark in the morning and board the bus for our optional excursion to Nueva Gerona, the capital city of the island. We will visit the “Universidad de la Isla de la Juventud Jesus Montane Oropesa,” enjoy panoramic sightseeing and tour the Presidio Modelo, abandoned panopticon prison of Cuba. While thousands of prisoners were interred in the corrupt prison during its operation, the most infamous inmates were Fidel & Raoul Castro, housed there from 1953 to 1955. Stop for lunch in Nueva Gerona before returning to the beach at the Colony Hotel for an afternoon of leisure.

Havana - City Tour

Get ready to enjoy an action packed day in Cuba’s capital city. First you will embark on a guided walking tour of Old Havana’s Historic Centre, taking in sites such as the Plaza de Armas, Plaza San Francisco de Asis, Plaza Viejay and Plaza de la Catedral. Here, you’ll visit some of Ernest Hemingway’s hangouts, such as the Ambos Mundos Hotel, La Bodeguita del Medio and El Floridita bar.

Cayo las Brujas

Cayo las Brujas is a beautiful spot on the northern coast of Villa Clara complete with white sand beaches, crystal clear waters and coral reefs. A 48km causeway connects Villa Clara to the tropical offshore islets where Cayo las Brujas is located. Villa Clara is home to the Buenavista Biosphere Reserve containing protected ecosystems of coral reefs, mangroves, and dunes.
