Excursion to Guanayara

After breakfast in the hotel depart on special mountain trucks to Guanayara National Park, 15 kilometres from Topes de Collantes. Enjoy the wide variety of endemic flora and fauna, natural pools and the beautiful El Rocio waterfall. Take a 5 kilometre walk along an extraordinarily beautiful trail. Adequate clothes and footwear are required. There is an optional 500 metre walk through the river. A creole lunch is taken in the local restaurant La Gallega. Next visit a coffee house to learn about the coffee cultivation process and taste a cup of coffee.

Topes de Collantes

After breakfast depart to the Valley of the Sugar Mills, a UNESCO World Heritage Centre due to its historical and cultural significance and its exceptional beauty. Here you can enjoy a typical cocktail. Take a panoramic walking tour through Trinidad’s city centre, one of the first Cuban villages founded by Spaniards at the beginning of 16th century, and declared a Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO. Visit the City Museum, Plaza Mayor Square and the main parochial church of the Holy Trinity, with its luxurious altar decorated with local precious woods and 300 year old images.

Ancon Peninsula

Breakfast is served in the hotel before departure to Trinidad’s marina for Las Iguanas Key Seafari. Drinks on board and lunch in Las Iguanas Cay are included. During the excursion you have snorkelling or swimming options under the supervision of the boat’s personnel. Snorkelling equipment is included on board. There is free time for swimming in Las Iguanas Cay. Returning to the hotel in the afternoon, there is a special dinner in the private restaurant La Coruna in the evening. After dinner return to the hotel and the remainder of the evening is at leisure.

Havana - Trinidad

After breakfast depart to Cienfuegos. Visit the Fiesta Campesina farm to learn about the endemic flora and fauna of Peninsula de Zapata, the largest wetland Biosphere Reserve of the Americas. Sample a typical cocktail before continuing on to Cienfuegos, known as the “Pearl of the South”, where Latin America’s largest coral site, Notre Dame was discovered. Lunch is included at Club Nautico Restaurant.

Havana - Vinales Valley

After breakfast, take an excursion in an air-conditioned bus to Vinales Valley in Pinar del Rio, Cuba’s westernmost province, where the world’s best tobacco is cultivated. Travel through the exotic landscape of royal palms, Cuba’s national tree to visit the cigar factory of Francisco Donatien. On the way to Vinales Valley, visit the typical country farm El Paraiso, Benito’s country house or Concha’s farm to learn about the local farmer’s lifestyle, traditions, tobacco cultivation process and to enjoy the hospitality of the people.

Havana City Tour

After breakfast you begin your Havana city tour, starting with a visit to Morro-Cabanas’ fortress lookout point located on a cliff at the entrance of Havana’s harbour. Then take a walking tour of Old Havana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit San Francisco de Asis Square and Havana Club Rum Museum to learn the production process with degustation included. The tour continues around Plaza Viejas (Old Square) along Mercaderes Street to Ambos Mundos Hotel, where the famous American writer Ernest Hemingway lived. After visiting Hemingway’s room, enjoy one of his famous cocktails.
